| Heizhou has now released

The newest character released is Shikanoin Heizou, a 4-star Wind Elemental Character currently Ranked during Kazuha and Klee's Banner Rerun in Phase 1 of Version 2.8

| Tighnari, Collei and Dori have been announced

Tighnari, Collei and Dori was announced via Twitter post, Mihoyo hinting at their release in Version 3.0 and Dendro Traveler was also teased in a Sumeru Video Teaser.

| What is character?

The characters are playable heroes that the player can control to interact, explore, or battle enemies in the world of Genshin Impact. They are divided according to rarity, roles, weapons and elements.

Now available 50 playable characters in the game, with the Traveler being counted as a single hero.

 

| How to own the characters?

Characters are mainly obtained by wish on gacha banner, or as a reward for completing a number events certain. Here are all the ways you can get the characters:

1. Drag from the wish banner with Primogems
2. Get Free Beginners by completing Archon Quests
3. Free redemption during certain events
4. Talk to Starglitter from the shop
5. Clear Spiral Abyss Level 3 for Xiangling

| How to use the characters

The characters are used to fight and explore in the underworld, domains, quests and events. Players can directly control their characters to defeat enemies with battle-related skills or solve puzzles with travel-related perks!

A player outside of co-op can usually have up to 4 character in a group. However, you can only use one character at a time.

| What is the character index?

Index are character attributes that affect a character's combat prowess and exploration in the Genshin Impact world. They are influenced by many in-game factors, such as level, ascension, weapon, equipped relic, and others.

| What is the character element?

Element are elemental powers assigned to characters through a means called Vision with a few exceptions. Characters use Elemental Skills and Explosions in battle to create reactions and amplify their effects and abilities.

There are a total of 7 elements in Genshin Impact include earth, water, fire, wind, lightning, ice and nature.

| Weapons for the character

One weapon type is assigned to a character, which means they can only use one weapon out of five possible weapons. The characters are classified into one of the following categories: Single sword, bow, heavy sword, magic weapon and long-handled weapon.
