| Turn-based combat

Honkai: Star Rail owns a system turn-based combat, in which the warriors of both sides will take turns to perform powerful attacks and special skills to bring down the opponent.

The order of action in battle is determined by speed indicator, with each warrior having only one turn per round to attack, defend, or use items. Therefore, take the time to develop tactics and make appropriate decisions based on the course of the game.

Besides, some skills and moves are not limited to one turn. The characters can counterattack, responding to their attackers with powerful attacks.

Attack often

Normal attack is a normal attack performed by a character that does not consume skill points. Each character's basic attack has an Element attached to them and can be used on enemies with appropriate weaknesses to easily destroy them.

Performing normal attacks can get you 1 Skill points or Mana required and consumed when activating the Skill.

Combat skill

Skills provide more damage than normal attacks but will consume your Skill Points and energy. These types of special moves are recommended against stronger enemies to manage Energy consumption.

Cool thoroughly

Is a character's unique ability that can deal a fatal blow to an enemy. They can be used after the energy meter is full and can be Activate anytime, interrupts the current turn.

| Weaknesses and Elements

All enemies have a white bar called Shield above their standard HP, essentially the same as the shield system. Breaking these shields completely will make enemies extremely vulnerable and will slow their actions.

Each enemy also has a certain element that they are weak in, and taking advantage of these weaknesses by using characters with the right elemental attack can destroy them quickly.

| Fate is the character class system

Have 7 Fate available in Honkai: Star Rail and is the game's character class system. This is basically each character's role and symbolizes the character's expertise, from DPS abilities to Support.

Therefore, instead of equipping a 5-star Cone of Light with another Destiny associated with it, a 4-Star Cone with a matching Destiny is much more effective in battle.

| Use the right item at the right time

Support and recovery items can be used in hot battle whenever the character's health is low or in great need of it.

Sacrifice a chance to attack for one turn in exchange for surviving the battle is recommended as having fewer party members will hinder your chances of winning the fight.

| Always check the enemy's elemental weakness
